How do I know what facial treatment to book?

If you don’t have any specific skin concerns the Essentials Treatment is ideal, because it can be customized to your skins needs and based on what we see in the treatment room. If we can see that your skin would benefit from a different treatment we will always adjust your treatment to the best fitting service.

How do I get there?

We are located at 2345 Valdez Street. It is called My Salon Suites; after entering the lobby, buzz the intercom for room #304; make a right turn and you will see the Skin Edit awning above you. (But please watch your step, as there is one stair before you reach the studio.) Metered parking on the street is readily available, but there is a parking lot next door with an entrance on Webster St.

How should I prepare?

If you are booking the Brightening Peel, avoid using any retinols, Alpha Hydroxy Acids or Salycilic Acids for 5 days prior. No other facial treatment require prepping your skin. Dress comfortably. We will have you change into a robe for most facials with the exception of Acne treatments and the Lunch Meeting express treatment. Please wear something that you are comfortable in with a loose or comfortable neckline.

What do I need to do after my facial?

You will be given specific at home instructions as necessary depending on your facial treatment. But in most cases, you can resume your normal routine.

What health precautions do you take to safeguard me from COVID-19 or other illnesses?

The treatment room has an Air Doctor 3000, a powerful air purifier that is able to circulate all the air in a 630 sq. ft room 4x/ an hour, the treatment room at Skin Edit is about 1/3 of that size. I wear a surgical mask is worn during the entire treatment. And every surface is wiped between appointments using a disinfectant that is an EPA registered bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal after every appointment, and all linens and towels are washed and clean before every appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us 24-hours notice for all cancellations. Re-booking appointments last minute can be difficult, if not impossible. All no-shows or late cancellations will be subject to a charge equivalent to 100% of the service booked. But we don’t want to do that!! I make every effort to send reminder emails and texts – if you can’t make it – this is your chance to reschedule your appointment.

Why no Tipping?

I’m sure you’re dying to know why! Haha! For the purpose of simplicity and pricing that is upfront and consistent. I eliminated tipping, and with it “tip fatigue”.
